The Vice President of Local Digital Sales is a leadership role with responsibility for driving digital, social and experiential revenue growth in regional markets and across national teams and accounts by developing and implementing effective integrated sales strategy and programs, opening doors and fostering and directing high-growth accounts. This highly successful individual will define the vision and drive the strategic plan for local digital sales working closely with key local market executives in both television and radio as well as the corporate digital product, operations and marketing teams. This role must lead and promote Integrated Media sales excellence and have a successful track record of influencing change through cooperative management across divisions and departments. The Vice President of Local Digital Sales will serve as a thought leader in all aspects of interactive marketing and emerging media, spotting trends in the marketplace and turning them into revenue opportunities. With a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, he/she will be a sales driver with a proven track record of developing and achieving sales budgets and growing incremental dollars through innovative audience solutions. The Vice President of Local Digital Sales reports to the Senior Vice President of Digital Sales with functional responsibility into the President of Local Media. Job Responsibilities Lead the local Integrated Marketing and Business Development initiatives for TV and radio properties. Establish revenue goals, develop sales strategies and tactics to pitch and close key accounts Build consistent policies and processes across the local groups Manage, develop and grow current local digital sales revenue Work effectively with senior local management teams to ensure effective coordination of sales efforts and agency/client penetration Optimize a growing multi-million-dollar integrated media business and team, including integrated media sales managers, account executives, project managers and support staff. Maximize and manage the sales effort of digital and integrated assets for the markets. Actively participate in sales calls, strategy meetings and presentations with key multi-market direct and agency clients. Grow share of local general market dollars through integrated multi-cultural offerings. Advise local markets on the sales and integration of custom programs as part of the overall sales portfolio. Develop and lead creative ideation sessions, oversee the execution and fulfillment of custom programs and advertising solutions for key clients. Interface with key agencies, local and national clients to present custom programs and advertising solutions. Create and implement systems and tracking for integrated budgets each year Collaborate with local sales management to achieve their Online budgets through training, package development and brainstorming ideas. Responsible for developing, achieving and managing department budget and expenses. Initiate new revenue projects that will benefit the stations and/or the group. Conduct regular training sessions for all staffers to introduce new online, mobile, and integrated opportunities. Educate and coach sales team on the newest assets and company best practices. Required Skills & Experience 10-15 years of digital media sales experience including at least 5 years in a senior management role at the corporate level. Proven history of meeting and exceeding sales goals and driving YOY growth, with a demonstrated track record in sales transformation. Expertise in digital sales processes, digital platforms, technical markets, pricing models, measurement platforms, technology trends, customer buying patterns and budgeting across all asset and platform types, including but not limited to display, video, audio, social, branded content, email and programmatic transactions. Strong written/verbal communication skills and comfort presenting in front of a client a must. Ability to travel nationwide to attend client meetings, conferences, seminars and industry events. Time flexibility required to interact with people in different geographical locations A demonstrated track record for building actionable short and long-term sales strategies and revenue growth plans. Familiarity with digital/integrated media campaigns value proposition for advertisers with TV and radio at the center. Understanding of digital media landscape and measurement metrics (ComScore, Google Analytics, etc.) Experience in solutions-based selling and managing high performance teams. Experience managing reseller networks, deep knowledge of digital media services, programmatic buying and selling, inventory management, program development and multi-cultural audiences. Desired Skills & Experience BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university preferred. Passion for digital advertising and ability to work and sell in a fast-paced, changing environment where ad products are often sold as technology is emerging. Excellent leadership, communication and influencing abilities across multiple levels Deep and broad business acumen with strong analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills.
