The National Sales Representative position is part of a rapidly growing team at Warren Transport. The position is a dual function role between securing new business in sales and providing world class customer service to our customer base.
Build new and maintain current relationships with customers.
Prospect for additional new freight opportunities.
Navigate objections and problem solve obstacles in order to secure new business.
Negotiate rates with customers under the guidance of the WSL Management and WTI VP of Sales & Marketing.
Onboard new customers, ensuring a smooth transition.
Solicit loads and further business from current customers.
Formulate solutions in order to close on new business; knowing when to escalate.
Communicate professionally and intellectually with potential customers via phone, email, etc.
Communicate with WSL/WTI department managers to assess and distribute information on the development and needs of customers.
Perform other duties, tasks, or responsibilities as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
Four year college degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience preferred.
1-2 years of sales experience, preferably in a business-to-business sales environment.
Self-starter with a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
Strong sales and negotiation skills.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Hard-worker with a drive for results who can persevere in the face of resistance or setbacks.
Strong work ethic and sense of integrity, trustworthy.
Excellent customer service skills.
Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
