The incumbent develops and executeslogistical strategies consistent with NxStage Medical’s global corporategoals. Develops and implementsshort-term and long-term operating plans and strategies consistent with overallcorporate objectives. Provide teamleadership and direction for logistics and supply chain activities.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, document, and implement business processesrelated to warehousing
Develop and analyze procurement strategies tosupport logistics/warehouse business as it develops and grows.Specific focus to include security of supply,quality, and cost
Supports the development of budgets and forecastsfor annual and long range business models
Manage problem suppliers and interface with QualityAssurance to coordinate effective corrective action
Manage relationships andnegotiate contracts with distribution center
Responsible for management ofKPIs with distribution suppliers
Ensure that quality,customer satisfaction, and financial commitments are met
Lead import/exportcompliance operations
Perform metrics reportingand data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for processimprovements
Lead process improvementprojects
Work in cross-functional teams and with differentend-users to meet internal and external stakeholder needs
Partner and communicate withsuppliers and customers
Manage and develop team

Bachelor’s Degree in business or engineering; MBA strongly preferred
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
7+ years of experience in supply chain or operationsin a medical device/diagnostics environment
