GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -To support the vision, mission and guiding principles of the company -While performing any procedure, all associates must observe applicable Safety, Health, and Environmental rules and guidelines. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, test, and calibrate mechanical and electrical equipment providing heat, hot water, ventilation, air conditioning, and electrical distribution in a safe and efficient manner. Make recommendations on major overhauls and replacement of equipment and identify, recommend and develop energy conservation projects. -Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers. -Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment. -Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables. -Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers, to diagnose malfunction. (RCA) -Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices. -Diagnoses & repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards. -Replaces electric motor bearings and rewires motors. -Push buttons/keys on robot controller, teach pendant, and programmable controller/ program and operate automated machinery/test for malfunctions, and verify repairs. -Plans layout and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings. -Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components. -Identifies and replaces malfunctioning PLC's. -Assist in all equipment installations & major modifications. -Comply with all safe work procedures including Lock Out / Tag Out -Able to work 12-hour shifts, on day or night shift and work mandatory overtime. Candidates must be prepared to move to 12 hr shifts that include working every other weekend in the future. -Will start on day shift for the first 4-5 weeks -Production areas are considered a 'clean room'. As a result, the maintenance team has to change uniforms and safety shoes fairly often depending on where they happen to be working. Education and Experience -HS degree or GED; college or technical school courses preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. -Minimum of 20 Hours of documented formal maintenance related training or coursework. -Minimum 5-7 years’ experience working in manufacturing / industrial maintenance department. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities -Trained in confined space and Hazwoper. -Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and write simple correspondence. -Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups. -Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. -Forklift certification/license -Ability to problem solve and repair a range of electrical applications and voltages -Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. -Ability to deal with problems involving few variables in standardized situations.
