Director, Project Management for our Consulting Services Division is responsible for the management of a team of Project Managers for the delivery of services projects across the organization, partnering with the client’s business and functional areas of IT to plan, budget, and schedule and execute all projects. The Director PM is responsible for managing the project managers and developing and modifying process with a goal of continuous improvement and seamless delivery. This individual will report to the VP of Service Delivery. Job Responsibilities Continue to enhance and improve the  Project Management Office Contribute to Project Management best practices; tailor, and implement tools, templates, and techniques Optimize IT spending and resource utilization Recruit, develop, and place skilled Project management resources Assist with driving cultural change around project management by demonstrating the value of good project management. Assist with training on tools and techniques for both presales and post sales delivery Establish regular and accurate project reporting for early and frequent communication Ensures client satisfaction through driving project execution excellence, reviewing of client satisfaction surveys and participation in client meetings Resolves project management and project services resource conflicts in cooperation with appropriate managers Contributes to the corporate strategy to ensure the project management teams processes, tools, and people are aligned to ensure client project needs and company financial goals are met Contributes to project overviews and monitors project schedules within the defined Project Management system. Keeps management advised on project progress, potential issues, obstacles, conflicts or challenges Establish frameworks for robust project management, including: tools, risk identification, decision-making responsibility and escalation. Preferred Qualifications & Desired Competencies: Requires a bachelors degree in area of specialty and at least 10 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Experience managing teams of 50 or more. Experienced manager with systems integrator experience. Familiar with a variety of the fields concepts, practices, and procedures. Well organized and detail oriented.
