Waco Healthcare and Rehabilitation - Business Office ManagerDepartment: Administration Reports to: AdministratorLocation: Employment Status: FTSummary: Responsible for directing the billing, accounts receivable, ensures processing and coordinates these functions with the corporate office.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities1. Must know the complexities of Medicare and Medicaid and how it works in a nursing facility.2. Knows the renewal process of Medicaid for pending Medicaid and be responsible for the process.3. Manages resident trust funds and maintains confidential files.4. Know the Medicaid asset levels to determine pre-eligibility of Medicaid.5. Manages collections of current and past due residents accounts receivables and provides reports on these to the administrator and to corporate headquarters.6. Organizes, evaluates, and monitors business office operations to ensure these functions are performed effectively and efficiently.7. Coordinates all facilities fiscal processes with the corporate office. Be willing to follow directions from Administrator.8. Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals needs and rights.9. Concerns him/herself with the safety of all residents in order to minimize the potential for fire and accidents. Also, ensures that the facility adheres to the legal, safety, and health, fire, and sanitation codes by being familiar with his/her role in carrying out the centers fire, safety, and disaster plans and being familiar with the current MSDS.The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.Other Duties1. Ensures that the business office is maintained in a clean and safe manner and that necessary equipment and supplies are maintained to perform required duties.3. Provides information to residents and families, as necessary, or refers to appropriate department or agency.4. Maintains confidentiality of all facility and corporate information.5. Must maintain good person hygiene and follow the required dress code.6. May be requested to work rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, addition hours, and in different positions as the facilitys needs require.Qualifications1. Must have prior experience as a Billing Office Manager in a NF or SNF.2. Must be proficient in using computers and office machines. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.3. Must have experience using the systems of TMHP (medicaid), or RMFS (employee trust funds).
