The specific opportunity exists within the Weapons and Defensive Systems team where strong systems engineering lifecycle experience is required in addition to working knowledge weapons, guns, launchers and turret and experience with operational analysis. System engineering tasks will include: translation of customer requirements into hardware and software specifications, requirements definition and allocation, technical trade studies, equipment interface definitions, system design, technical documentation creation, review and presentation, equipment and software integration, lab testing, flight test support in addition to technical leadership.This systems engineer will work in a team environment and must be able to effectively communicate and interface with others including Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Manufacturing, Program Management, Suppliers and end Customers.Basic Qualifications:9+ years of avionics systems engineering experience in the weapons domain including guns, launchers and turretsStrong working knowledge and experience with the following tools: MATLAB (preferably including autocode experience), DOORS Ballistics modelingMission modeling and/or Operational Analysis experienceConversant in software, in particular C and C++Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline from an accredited college or equivalent experience.Secret Clearance requiredDesired Skills:Design and/or integration experience with EO/IRsOther tools experience: Rhapsody, Cameo, AFSIM, ATCOM, PRODASDemonstrated successful team leadership Other Important Information You Should KnowExpression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match.
