Principal Duties and Responsibilities:* Ownership of collaboration agreements and related revenue recognition models:* Includes management of all estimates of time to completion for various indications, allocation methodologies, milestone forecasts including variable consideration and accounting for all deferred revenue balances* Ensure the accurate reporting of gross-to-net (GTN) adjustments for global product revenue:* Employ understanding of GTN to develop quarterly forecasts of net revenue; serve as primary liaison with commercial supply and operations groups to ensure invoice accuracy of product shipments and maintain proper audit support* Manage royalty revenue and related transfer pricing considerations for ex-China shipments* Ensure the completeness and accuracy of variable consideration related to product shipments and related true-ups for areas such as pricing and yields* Understand the detailed components of commercial supply agreements with partners and related impact on revenue recognition, COGS and inventory accounting* Research technical guidance and prepare detailed, audit-ready memos to support management conclusions on areas requiring significant judgment* Provide significant input and management of all SOX related controls pertaining to the order to cash cycle in the US and China* Participation on the transition team for US SAP implementationSkills and Qualifications:* Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, CPA a plus* Minimum of 7 to 10 years of strong progressive GAAP experience required* In-depth understanding of all aspects of ASC 606 and related accounting guidance impacting revenue* Demonstrated ability to write effective technical memos on areas impacting revenue, COGS, inventory and various accruals* Experience with cost accounting highly desirable* Detailed SOX understanding and ownership and/or significant participation of revenue cycle required* Must be systems "savvy" and extremely proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.In addition strong knowledge of a major ERP system is needed.* Must have excellent written and oral communication ability combined with strong analytical skills* Capability to think strategically as the business continues to grow and to promote change in accounting/finance business processes to improve efficiency and accuracy of accounting closeFibroGen is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits unlawful discrimination based on race, color, religion, gender identity/expression, creed, national origin/ancestry, age, alienage or citizenship, status, age, sex, sexual orientation, marital or domestic/civil partnership status, disability, veteran status, genetic information, or any other basis protected by law.FibroGen will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.E-Verify: Notice to all Prospective EmployeesNotice to Recruiters and Search FirmsFibroGen makes every effort to source and hire its staff through direct recruitment methods.
