JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Web Developer (CX) will be part of the Customer Experience Team. The individual in this role is expected to be a technical leader in the team. This means being a coach/mentor for more junior developers, finding creative solutions, coming up with new ideas and innovate to make the CX Team more effective, as well as being an active partner with other IT and business teams.

The individual will be a key team member of strategic initiatives like the creation of a new Customer Portal, business sites and B2B/B2C eCommerce solutions. As a member of agile run projects, the employee is expected to be able to collaborate with people of different disciplines. 

The candidate must be able to work autonomously and have a solid experience with Java development, SAP CX/Hybris tech stack, systems design, Agile, DevOps, CICD and B2B web-based solutions.

This location requires all individuals working on site to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS AND ACTIVITIES

Typical tasks and activities for this job include but are not limited to the items listed below. Additional duties may be assigned from time to time as needed by management.

Overall Duties

---Develop technical design or system specification documentation

---Designing, coding, testing, and quality assurance of complex product features within our Customer Engagement & Commerce portfolio 

---Accountability, delivery of the assigned tasks on time, ensuring high quality and high performance

---Work in a Lean development environment which requires the individual to be self-driven and be flexible to cater to demand

---Works with Business / Functional Analysts to understand business problems and develop technical solutions

---Apply structured design and structured programming techniques to assigned tasks

---Develop task / project estimates, and project schedules

---Develop unit and system test cases and test plans, conduct testing activities

---Initiate contact with internal business organizations as well as external organizations as needed

---Report on-going status reports on all project activity as requested

---Contribute to the definition and improvement of the installation, administration and maintenance processes of the SAP CX/Hybris ECommerce software and solutions

---Define, design, and improve new packaged and/or custom-built online customer facing applications 

---Support team members in cross-functional tasks such as QA, UAT and defect triage

---Lead the Product team through the SDLC

---Recommends system solutions by comparing custom development and possible purchased alternatives

---Bring a sense of innovation to the business and IT teams

Change Management

---Provide change management assistance and application support for identified solution(s)

---Attends meetings as required to engage in education and participate in communication

---Assist in training of new processes and/or software as needed

Application Support

---Provide application support when needed

---Configuring, managing, monitoring, and debugging software (Apache, Tomcat, Solr, SAP/Hybris platform)

---Diagnosing integration and performance problems and implementing long-term solutions.

---Collaboratively support IT associates, clients, and vendors to provide timely and dedicated support and problem resolution to assigned suite of applications

---Comply with trouble ticketing system SLAs and Change Management processes to track all activities associated with performing support duties

---Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation on configurations, software revisions and patch management information

---Stay abreast of advances in assigned technology and business processes

Organizational Functions

---Foster a collaborative team environment, actively shares knowledge with fellow team members

---Maintain consistent communication with internal and external business partners and customers

---Participate in a lead role, overseeing and on occasion managing the on-shore and/or off-shore consulting practices and development efforts

---Work closely with leadership to prioritize and implement continuous improvement of the complete customer experience

---Apply concepts and learning(s) from development programs to ensure information systems goals are met. Consistently seeks long-term development as an IT professional

JOB CONTEXT

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position will not have any direct supervisory responsibility although the job will require the ability to meet project deliverables through others.

Team and Work Orientation

This position will be expected to work with various individuals and teams at a local office, remotely, and with branch/field locations teams to collaboratively support, develop, and execute IT standards. Will work with select outside vendors to achieve some project goals and business outcomes.

Work Environment

This position will have an assigned workplace and be expected to work in an office environment. Remote, telecommute work situation is possible for this function.

Additional Requirements: 

The expectation is that the work week for this position is not tied to any number of hours, but rather is based on overseeing the operation during normal business hours of a laundry rental business. As such, additional hours may be necessary to complete required duties (for example, additional hours may include being accessible during non-operating hours, being available on-premise during non-operating hours or being available to work on weekends or holidays).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Potential candidates for this job will be sought that have strong indication of capability with the following items. 

Required Experience & Education

---Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience

---10+ Years of relevant software development experience

---6+ years of demonstrated experience in Online Customer Experience (Business Sites, Customer Portals, B2B and/or B2B2C ecommerce business practices)

---Solid software development and architectural skills with a passion to build quality applications

---Strong experience with SAP CX modules, CCV2 or Hybris projects and experience developing on it

---Experience with B2C and B2B Hybris accelerator

---Knowledge on Hybris ORM, WCMS, Backoffice, Cockpits

---Knowledge of SOLR search engine

---Expertise in deploying and managing Java applications using Tomcat

---Expert Java knowledge and supporting experience

---Experience on integrating various payment providers

---Strong development experience with Hybris Java, JEE technologies and Spring Framework

---Experience working application Servers, e.g. Tomcat and WebSphere

---Strong knowledge of SQL

---Tuning knowledge of Hybris

---Experience using SDLC methodologies, CI/CD and source code control applications

---Experience with change control processes, code versioning, code migration and management tools (ITG, TFS, Git, SVN, etc…)

---Knowledge of JSP

---Proven experience with Json, XML, REST/SOAP APIs

---Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to new tasks/challenges

Preferred Education - Experience

---Agile framework certifications are a plus

---Experience with route accounting applications

---Experience with Microsoft DevOps

---Experience with automated testing is a plus (Tosca, TFS, QFTest, Junit, …)
