Job Description The purpose of this position is to perform and lead manufacturing engineering duties for the housing and filter cartridge value streams located in Mineral Wells, Tx. Position will be responsible for production line and machine safety, design, procurement, and implementation utilizing lean manufacturing principles. Position will interact with functional teams represented by operations, engineering, supply chain, and EHS. The employee must be able to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Will perform a variety of complicated tasks and must work well with minimal supervision. May direct, train and coordinate the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Relocation assistance is available for this position.Identify and coordinate manufacturing process improvements.Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and propose upgrades as necessary.Prepare capital equipment expenditure requests and assist with the development of equipment specifications.Provide manufacturing engineering support to production.Coordinate manufacturing engineering cost reduction projects.Develop interdepartmental working groups and coordinate their process improvement activities. Will physically upgrade, design, and if need be, build production equipment.Manufacturing Engineering degree requiredPLC application and programming preferredAt least 10 years heavy manufacturing related experience in a production environmentFamiliar with welding, fabrication and assembly manufacturing processesExpert level skills with Microsoft Office Manufacturing and mechanical aptitude; CAD skills on various platformsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProduct structure knowledge, BOM, routing and schedulingAbility to program various languages and platforms, PLC, and supervisory control systemsThank you for your interest in Parker Hannifin!
