Medical Director (MD/DO)

The Medical Director provides clinical administrative leadership at their clinic location. 

The Medical Director is responsible for the quality of care provided to participants in Primary Care at the assigned site, and for the clinical productivity of the medical provider clinical site staff. The Medical Director will promote the current policy and procedures for Howard Brown Health Center in alignment with the clinical management team. The primary role of the Medical Director is providing management and supervision of the clinicians at the location. The Medical Director is a partner to the site office manager and works in collaboration with operational initiatives.

The Medical Director is a licensed clinical professional and can be from the following training backgrounds - physician. The Site Medical Director is responsible for medical supervision of the facility. The Site Medical Director is responsible for coordinating medical care in the facility. The Site Medical Director is responsible for providing clinical guidance and oversight regarding the implementation of care policies. The Site Medical Director collaborates with Howard Brown leadership and other facility leadership, staff, practitioners, and consultants to help develop, implement, and evaluate care policies and procedures that reflect current standards of practice. The Site Medical Director helps the facility identify, evaluate, and address/resolve medical and clinical concerns and issues that affect care or are related to the provision of services by physicians and other licensed health care practitioners.

What you will bring to Howard Brown Health

Medical Director (MD/DO) Qualifications, Certificates, licenses and Registrations:

Graduation from a college or university accredited by the American Medical Association with a Doctor of Medicine degree or accredited by the American Osteopathic Association with a doctor of Osteopathy degree. If medical education occurred at a foreign medical school, the applicant must possess a current Educational Council Foreign Medical Graduate (ECFMG) certificate. Successful completion of an approved program of residency training in family practice. Board certification in Family Practice preferred. Experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other employees, patients and the general public. Experience with diverse patient populations and experience in community health settings

Active Illinois Physician licensure, plus current DEA registration, Board certification in a specialty area (must be completed within two years of employment), documentation of a Medical Degree from an accredited school of Medicine, documentation of residency completion in a specialty area from an accredited residency program and Physician National Data Bank verification of legal claims history.
