Together we are at the forefront of technology and innovation in financial services and we invite collaborative and motivated high performers to join our rapidly expanding team.</p><p><strong>What we’re looking for</strong></p><p>The director of IT is responsible for all aspects of Cross River’s information technology processes, applications and systems. This position is expected to provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives that align with the business objectives of the organization.</p><p>The director of IT will centrally plan, coordinate and direct all operational activities of a deployed IT team, as well as provide direction and support for IT solutions that enhance a decentralized business. The director of IT will work closely with decision-makers at the geographically dispersed Cross River operations to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Major Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Participate in strategic and operational governance processes of the business organization while promoting IT solutions and services.</li><li>Collaborate directly with the executive management team and decision-makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.</li><li>Lead IT strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation; prioritizing IT initiatives; and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the organization.</li><li>Build and maintain strong relationships within the business. Become a trusted advisor and be seen as a core part of the business.</li><li>Develop and maintain an appropriate IT organizational structure that supports the needs of the business</li><li>Assess and communicate the business risks associated with the IT infrastructure, IT projects and other technology investments while presenting creative and cost-effective solutions.</li><li>Develop, track, and control the information technology annual operating and capital budgets.</li><li>Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives while obtaining customer acceptance for these initiatives.</li><li>Coordinate and facilitate consultation with stakeholders to define business and system requirements.</li><li>Analyze and maintain the IT department budget and operate within budget constraints.</li><li>Select, develop and motivate qualified staff to effectively carry out the department’s functions. Direct the planning and continuous improvement of the IT staff, equipment and procedures to maintain pace with technology changes.</li><li>Understand all facets of IT and how it impacts operational planning and program implementation in meeting user requirements and service delivery needs.</li><li>Establish an effective demand management process that aligns IT with the strategic direction of the business.</li><li>Manage all IT service providers for quality and cost-effectiveness.</li><li>Establish IT departmental goals, objectives and operating procedures.</li><li>Benchmark analyze reports on and make recommendations for the improvement of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.</li><li>Where necessary, reengineer applications support to ensure that it aligns with business processes, tactical planning and strategic vision.</li><li>Develop, implement, and enforce IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, purchasing and service provision to ensure conformance with departmental and organizational objectives.</li><li>Oversee negotiation and administration of vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements.</li><li>Provide oversight for large-scale projects, including system conversions.</li><li>Direct the maintenance and execution of enterprisewide disaster recovery.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Own a bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science or information systems and have X years of related work experience. Own a master’s degree in either of these fields. A master of business administration (MBA) with technology as a core component is preferred.</li><li>Demonstrate extensive leadership experience managing and/or directing an IT operation for a decentralized organization.</li><li>Have proven experience in IT strategic planning and development, project management, and policy development.</li><li>Prove working technical knowledge of current network and PC operating systems, hardware, protocols and standards. Experience with the following hardware and software is preferable:</li><li>(Insert List of Desired Hardware and Software Experience)</li><li>Have experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis to day-to-day management.</li><li>Exhibit knowledge of business processes, management, budgeting and business office operations.</li><li>Prove ability to apply IT in solving business problems.</li><li>Have strong leadership skills with experience building and managing an effective IT team.</li><li>Perform excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.</li><li>Prove ability to present ideas in a business-friendly and user-friendly language.</li><li>Be highly motivated and pay attention to detail.</li><li>Prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment.</li><li>Exhibit extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.</li></ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p>Cross River is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
