General Summary of Job Duties

Performs general accounting activities, prepares accounting and financial reports and ensures accurate accounting systems and record keeping.

Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties

Maintain a high quality of guest service according to Jacobs Entertainment, Inc. Mission Statement and F.A.S.T. Track Values Statement.

Maintain the General Ledger.

Maintain Fixed Assets.

Maintain Reconciliations.

Training Staff, as needed.

Financial reporting.

Year-end audit.

Will assist the Controller with training and directing of workload and projects, as needed.

Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future.

Adhere to all appearance and uniform standards.

Maintain an open line of communication with Management.

Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guest, fellow Employees, and Vendors.

Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.

Regular attendance and arriving on time to all scheduled shifts and mandatory meetings.

Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Education and Other Requirements

Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office programs and Excel.

Familiar with Great Plains, FRx or other accounting packages.

Must be knowledgeable of Title 31 and Bank Secrecy Act.

Must be knowledgeable of Nevada Gaming rules and regulations.

Undergraduate degree in Accounting/Finance preferred.

Minimum of 6 years of accounting experience, including a combination of public and other industry, preferably including gaming.

Required Work Cards

Identification that establishes identity.

Identification that establishes the right to work in the United States.

Must be registered with Nevada Gaming Control.
