Job summary
The International Consumer Finance team has an immediate opening for a Business Intelligence Engineer on our global Free Cash Flow, Benchmarking, Insights and Analytics team. This role will help to automate reporting and analysis of the International Consumer business, with the primary focus on driving Free Cash Flow on a global scale. This individual will drive process improvements by designing and implementing scalable BI solutions, and maintaining and improving upon existing dashboards and reports.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, resourceful, customer-focused, and collaborative. They will have previous experience translating business requirements into scalable solutions analysis. The candidate for this role will be required to continuously learn new systems, tools, and industry best practices to help design and build solutions that automate and accelerate analytics. In addition, candidates should demonstrate experience making strong business decisions with retail experience being a plus.


Key job responsibilities

Work closely with cross functional business teams, Technical Project Manager and other Data Engineers across the international organization. Use analytic tools and languages (notably SQL), and present analytical results and insights using multiple methods, including written summaries and visualization/reporting tools such as Tableau Build scalable solutions/self-serve platforms that will provide data/KPIs to inform business decision making Investigate data sources across Amazon and expand existing device data infrastructure

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in math, statistics, computer science, or finance or equivalent experience 4+ years of professional experience in data modeling / advanced business analytics Experience in ETL and Reporting tools in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets Proficiency with data querying or modeling technique with SQL Knowledge on AWS data Services such as S3, Redshift, Athena etc. Understand database optimization Experience in designing and building data infrastructure/automated reporting tools (Tableau)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years in relevant experience as a Business Intelligence Engineer, Data Engineer, Business Analyst, Data Scientist, or equivalent Strong fundamentals in problem-solving, algorithm design and complexity analysis. Proficiency with a scripting language (Java, Python, or R) Advanced experience in data mining, SQL, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets Master’s degree in BI, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance or related field required
