We are looking for a self-motivated, quick learning Java Developer to join our engineering team.  This position will help generate innovative ideas and work hands-on to deliver modern and creative technical solutions to meet the needs of our business and our clients.   The software engineer in this position  will be programming in Java/JavaScript/SQL and will be able to turn requirements into solutions using industry standard design, development, and delivery techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, maintain, and test Java applications.
  • Develop ETL jobs using data integrations tools.
  • Develop REST APIs for CRUD operations.
  • Develop REST APIs to integrate with 3rd party APIs and applications.
  • Data Engineering & Analysis.
  • Preparing and producing releases of software components.
  • Take pride in writing clean, maintainable code.
  • Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Support continuous improvement.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies.
  • Consult and collaborate with your immediate peers or colleagues to resolve service issues.
  • Provide production support when technical issues arise.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in building ETL jobs.
  • Minimum of 2 years of JAVA development skills, including an understanding of optimization, performance ramifications of design decisions.
  • Experience working with Java version 8 and higher.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with relational databases such as MySQL,  MS SQL Server, or Oracle.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience of working with Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience of working with Tomcat and Linux.
  • AWS experience with API Gateway, ALB, NLB, RDS, CloudWatch, AWS Console.
  • Experience creating REST API and micro services.
  • Strong understanding object-oriented design principles.
  • Experience working with version control tools.
  • Experience with Agile Scrum methodology.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills of complex technical issues involving multiple technologies.
  • Strong customer service skills, logical problem solving, and communication skills.
  • The ability to excel in a team environment is essential.
  • Must be available for technical support outside of normal business hours for production support, patches, and releases.
  • Highly effective working on a distributed team in a virtual environment.

Additional Nice To Have Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud based ETL tools, preferably Matillion.
  • Experience with Snowflake.
  • Experience integrating with Healthcare EMR Systems.
  • Experience integrating with Twilio, LimeSurvey, inContact, Salesforce.
  • Prior C# .NET experience.
  • Experience working with HL7.
  • Healthcare related experience.
  • Exposure to HIPAA and SOC2 compliance.
  • Exposure to Data Warehouse design and ETL jobs.
  • Experience using Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
