Dually reporting to both graduate and undergraduate admissions, this newly created position will lead the tasks associated with recruiting, evaluating, and enrolling entering classes in the Physician Assistant graduate program, as well as the first-year Direct-Entry PA program. Additionally, the candidate will manage a group of local high schools as part of their territory and provide support to other health based graduate programs (such as Occupational Therapy and Family Nurse Practitioner).
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Job duties specific to this position:
To work effectively with the Senior Director of Admission and the Director of Graduate Admission by participating as an active member of a professional admission team to design, develop and implement successful marketing and recruitment strategies and plans.
Successfully manage specific applicant pools by planning and implementing marketing and recruitment activities as appropriate. This will include some local travel and minimal overnight travel.
Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students and applicants to include email and telephone outreach. Serve as a liaison between students andkey faculty partners regarding the admissions process. Communicate regularly with faculty and department chairs regarding enrollment responsibilities.
Lead the review of applications for the graduate program in Physician Assistant Studies and the first year Direct Entry PA program, including application/prerequisite review, selection of candidates for interview, logistical support for events/interviews and selection of final cohorts.
Provide support to other graduate programs and direct-entry programs as needed.
Manage a small portfolio of high schools as part of territory management; this will include travel, outreach, and interactions with a handful of local, feeder high schools.
Evaluate applicants seeking admission to the college which will determine the ultimate admission decision. Provide admission support and decisions for other pre-health graduate programs and undergraduate admission as required.
Plan and host on campus programs for targeted student groups. This includes being the admission representative for all things related to Physician Assistant programs.
Maximize opportunities for students, parents and counselors regarding the college admission process and access to Le Moyne College. The position requires special sensitivity to all individuals regardless of race, color ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, economic status and country of origin.
Participate in admission events (information sessions, open house, accepted student events and interviews) to support College enrollment efforts.
Minimum of 5 years experience in higher education, admissions/enrollment management or related field.
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University required; Master's preferred
Valid Driver's License
Preferred experience working with admissions in for the health professions
Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills.
Ability to work occasional nights and weekends
