As a Postpartum RN (also sometimes called a Mother/Baby nurse), you'll be tasked with caring for both mother and child after birth has taken place. Postpartum RNs carefully monitor both patients, providing care and watching for any complications that may arise. Postpartum RNs also help counsel new parents on the first steps of infant care prior to their release from the hospital.
