Machine Operator-
REPORTS TO
Section Coach or Team Leader
 
PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF FUNCTION
The operator is responsible to operator assigned machinery / task in a safe and productive manner while meeting production targets. This grade applies to Banding, Packing, Labeling and Catcher.
 
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
1.  May perform minor setups and must safely operate assigned machinery.
2. May enter production and scrap into the stock reporting system.
3. Ensure that the assigned machinery is in good and safe working order.
4. Meet or exceed set production targets where applicable.
5. Performs and records rework where applicable. 
6. Report existing or potential machine problems to the Coach or Team Leader. 
7.  Keep area, machines, tools and equipment clean, organized and clear of debris.
8.  Must use correct PPE and dress safely for the job.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
1.   Ability to manufacture good quality product at the set rate of output.
2.  Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
3.  Must demonstrate some mechanical aptitude.
4.  Possesses basic math, writing, reading and communication skills.
5.  Ability to follow instructions and work without constant supervision.
6. Steel toed shoes required, no sleeveless shirts allowed.
7. Hours as assigned with the probability of overtime during the week and on Saturday.

V. EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS & EXPERIENCE:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. Manufacturing experience a plus
3. Bilingual in Spanish a plus
