POSITION TITLE: Green House Facility Manager (full-time, exempt, salaried position)
PRIMARY WORK LOCATION: Santee Campus, Macy Campus   
SUPERVISOR:  Math and Science Division Chair

STARTING SALARY: $50,000 annual

The Greenhouse Facilitator has a 12-month contract with a minimum of 40 hours per week. 
They will:
  • Educator to manage both Macy and Santee facilities. 
  • Conduct educational classes. 
  • Coordinate educational and community engagement with NICC. 
  • The Greenhouse facility manager/educator will be a full-time position fulfilling two positions.
  • The first position will be to make sure that the systems are designed and maintained to help ensure that the systems are not compromised due to their delicate nature.
  • The second position for the coursework to be developed and implemented will be at a for credit and non-credit levels. The Four-credit courses will have tuition attached and be eligible courses to be applied to associate programs of study. The non-credit-bearing courses will be (4) workshops designed to teach others interested. The topics of the coursework will range in topic areas including hydroponics, aquaponics, and aquaculture and their use to develop jobs, funding streams, and other types of business development projects.

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Greenhouse Management or related field. 
Preferred candidates will have proven success in the following: 
  • Master’s Degree in Horticulture.  
  • Program and/or organizational management experience (3 years preferred). 
  • Proficiency in Office 365 tools.  
  • Cultural competence in serving Indigenous students and/or other minoritized populations.
