Job Summary

Join our growing team of Communication Specialist professionals who are reshaping and redefining the insurance brokerage world with new ways for Hays Companies clients to relay health care benefits needs to their employees. This role will be engaged with designing and updating existing and new benefit guides and user experiences for our clients healthcare apps and needs. This is an opportunity to join in on the evolution of a department that has been growing for years.

  • Design and update client benefit guides and apps, and all other supporting documentation including presentations, marketing material, etc…
  • Produce all appropriate graphical assets for a multi-channel experience
  • Participate in user research and testing to continually search for ways to improve the user experience of our supplied software/apps
  • Required Skills

  • Strong visual design, demonstrating an understanding of latest trends in color, layout and typography
  • Strong design skills demonstrating visual layout comprehension and proper use of typography
  • Strong interaction design skills demonstrating understanding of latest technology trends
  • Expert knowledge of visual design tools like Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to multitask
  • Willingness to collaborate with cross-functional teams, iterate on designs, and being open to constructive feedback
  • Ability to communicate technical and design concepts clearly and concisely, in writing and in spoken English, to both technical and not-so-technical audiences
  • Experience in print design, layout design, app design, a plus
  • Relevant undergraduate degree (or equivalent experience)
  • The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • Compensation:  $50,000-$65,000 annually
