The Graphic Designer, Event Marketing will design, execute and publish creative material that directly supports (but not limited to) Susan G. Komen’s More Than Pink Walk®, Race for the Cure®, 3-Day® events, do-it-yourself fundraising programming, and a variety of Komen standardized in-person and virtual large and small fundraisers. This role must be able to take creative direction and execute design across a variety of mediums, heavily focused on digital. These include Social Media, Email, Digital Guidelines, Photography re-touching, Digital Brochures, Signage, Merchandising, Multi-Media presentation and more. The designer must be proficient in all Adobe platforms such as Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, and must have experience designing within an enterprise level email software.
The Graphic Designer, Event Marketing reports directly to the Creative Director who oversees Komen’s brand and revenue-generating marketing programs.
Using the creative direction provided, create and publish high quality assets that directly support fundraising events for Komen.
Work collaboratively with primarily the Fundraising team and Marketing team on projects expectations, deadlines and approval flows.
Work within established work-flow processes that ensure the work is on strategy, follows creative direction and delivers on time.
Listen to and incorporate feedback into the projects from multiple sources.
Design assets with a multi-media lens.
Integrate Komen branding and program specific branding into all communications materials, tools and programs, keeping in mind a variety of internal and external audiences such as Komen staff, volunteers and corporate sponsors.
Minimum Experience Required
The ideal candidate will have:
Work Experience: 5+ years
Bachelor’s Degree: (Field of Study – Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Public Relations, Business or similar degree)
May organize deadlines and approval paths but has no responsibility to hire, terminate, review performance or make pay decisions.
