The Environmental Services Technician II provides a clean, sanitary environment for specified facility and common locations to employer standards. Other cleaning and maintenance duties may be required.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Perform all maintenance and cleaning tasks noted on checklists and as directed by the Environmental Services Supervisor to ensure that all dirt, dust, litter and debris is removed from all areas of the facility using brooms, mops, brushes and other hand tools.
  • Expected to promptly notify management of spills and emergency situations, need for major and minor building/facility repairs, lights that are out or broken, broken equipment and fixtures, damaged structures, ruptured pipes/plumbing, problems and any other observable safety issues/concerns
  • Expected to properly and safely use and operate related equipment, tools, devices, and chemical/cleaning agents, including mops, vacuums, electric polishing machines, power tools and equipment, and special cleaning solutions in order to efficiently perform the duties and to avoid harming floors, fixtures, individuals, and themselves.
  • Follow Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, or squeegees.
  • Service, clean, and supply restrooms; requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties. Keep an inventory of janitorial supplies.
  • Maintain a daily janitorial service sheet.
  • Report any unknown, observed or suspected violations of company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the Environmental Services Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Assist customers within the facility or as directed by the supervisor.
  • Resolve customer complaints independently or with the aid of a supervisor.
  • Follow Parallel Policies & Procedures for the daily operations and fully comply with state medical marijuana regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU’LL BRING

  • 1-2 years of progressively responsible work-related experience, or any combination of education and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job 
  • Worked in some form of janitorial or custodial environment 
  • Demonstrated professional growth and achievement
  • Upbeat and high energy professional
  • Age 21 or over (Required)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
  • Valid Government-Issued Photo ID (Required)

  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, and consistent attention to detail at least 8 hours per day.
  • Must be able to bend, lift and stoop continuously.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 80 lbs. assisted.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with other employees/customers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
