Summary of This Role Reviews and analyzes consumer and/or commercial credit applications that are not automatically approved or declined by credit card applications. Receives requests from cardholders and merchants that involves credit decisions. Works within client defined credit policies to insure accurate credit decisions. Reviews applications for possible fraud. Provides quality customer service in a timely manner while working in a multi-client environment with multiple system applications. What Part Will You Play? Handles 50-100 daily inquires from all supported clients within a multi-client environment with various application systems by responding to cardholder requests, such as credit line increases and account maintenance, and reviewing/processing credit card applications to include verifying information against credit bureau data. Requests system generated letters to credit applicants requesting additional information in order to accurately process their credit application. Acts as an escalation point for less experienced Credit Specialists for client/customer inquiries to include take over calls, fraud credit card applications and errors related to the processing of credit card applications, etc. Communicates any issues surrounding client, application, account and/or system related concerns to clients, upper management, and leadership internal and external to the department. Begins to acts as an information source within the department, reviews and interprets internal and client specific policies for less experienced Credit Specialists. Stays abreast of client specific policy changes and communicates with the team. Provides recommendations to management to enhance new hire training for Credit Specialists. Assists with quality assurance checks to identify training/coaching opportunities within the team. Assists and provides guidance on daily distribution of work based on individual skillset to include credit card applications, credit faxes, and any type of correspondence between the card holder/client. Administers tracking of individual/team daily work assignments for client billing purposes. What Are We Looking For in This Role? Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent Typically Minimum 4 Years Relevant Exp Related work experience Preferred Qualifications 4-6 years related work experience What Are Our Desired Skills and Capabilities?
