The role of a Counter Manager is to lead and model strong service and selling skills, as well as coach a team to drive service and sales. The Counter Manager will perform day to day administrative functions that pertain to driving and building services and sales. The Counter Manager will provide the ABH signature waxing service, abide by all state laws for safety and sanitation pertaining to his/her state licensure. A Counter Manager working in partnership with ABH and Nordstrom must have the ability to successfully plan and conduct services and events at store level. They should possess good communication skills, execute timely reporting practices, and build collaborative relationships in addition to building a repeat established clientele. This role is responsible for coaching Estheticians providing the ABH signature waxing service, including tracking their progress and communicating regularly with leadership. Excellence in client service, artistry and working in an entrepreneurial environment is critical to the success of this role.


  • Licensed Esthetician/Cosmetologist with the ability to provide proof of licensure in the state the job is being carried out.
  • Minimum 2 years of cosmetic retail management experience.
  • Broad product and brand knowledge within the Cosmetics and Beauty Industry preferred.
  • Demonstrate ability to work with and train people to achieve results.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skill.
  • Ability to work with details and perform work accurate.
  • Must be able to work well in a team and independent.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings and some holidays.
  • Ability to stand 8 hours, executing a waxing service that is performed while standing.
