*Supervises employees and maintains quality of product produced, product flow and correct processing form.
*Monitors labor cost and overtime.
*Trains and provides leadership to employees.
*Keeps maintenance informed of mechanical problems.
*Coordinates with other departments and sales as dictated by special orders to ensure smooth product flow.
*Responsible for monthly safety training and departmental safety walk-throughs.
*Supervises housekeeping in department.
*Performs other duties as required.
Key Working Relationships:
*Reports to Specialty Superintendent for general supervision.
*Works closely with sales for direction of their daily needs.
*Works with maintenance to schedule repairs.
*Maintains close contact with the cut-up department to keep them informed of their daily needs and also with other department to schedule orders that are to be ran.

Academic: High School education or equivalent experience.
Experience: Two to three years of experience in a supervisory role. Poultry plant experience desired but not required.
Physical: Must be able to work in cold, wet, and humid environment. Temperatures’ ranges 40-52 degrees. Able to work in noisy environment Able to stand long periods of time Able to bend, stoop, reach, grasp, twist, and lift 40lbs or more. Fast and repetitive motion. Tolerate exposure to chemicals within OSHA limits. Able to wear all required PPE
